Explore the Journey and Vision
Gurdish Haugsdal, also known as Dish, is a Bergen-based British mural artist and multidisciplinary visual artist working across street art, public art commissions, and hand-printed silkscreen. Known for her feminist perspective and striking portrait work, she creates large-scale murals and detailed artworks that explore women’s stories, cultural heritage, and identity in both public and gallery spaces.
Her practice spans a wide range of scales and materials, from intricate hand-painted illustrations on vintage ceramic plates to large-scale murals painted directly onto glass, interior walls, and public facades. As a mural artist and contemporary visual artist, she creates work that transforms both intimate and public spaces.
At the core of her work is a strong feminist perspective. Through portraiture and storytelling, she explores themes of identity, heritage, and representation, often highlighting women’s voices and untold stories. Her work aims to create meaningful connections between people, place, and history, whether through public art commissions, exhibitions, or community-focused projects.
